Tasklet is the AI operating system for scaling your company without scaling headcount.
As LLMs get smarter and faster, knowledge work is moving from people operating SaaS tools to people directing agents. Teams won’t click through dozens of apps; they’ll describe the outcome they want, and agents will use APIs, browsers, files, memory, and dynamically generated interfaces to get the work done.
Tasklet makes that possible by bringing connections, context, and agent runtime together with your team in one place. You use agents for day-to-day work, generate internal software just in time, and then turn repeated work into automation by simply asking the AI to take over.
Unlike the big AI labs that are trying to sell their own models, Tasklet is a neutral vendor: companies can trust Tasklet to bring them the best models from any lab and help them optimize their workloads for quality, performance, and cost as the frontier changes.
In the old world, companies scaled by adding headcount. In the new world, they scale by delegating work to AI that runs 24/7 — and Tasklet is the operating system that lets them do it.
Our team of 11 is based in San Francisco and is led by founders Andrew Lee (formerly founded Firebase & sold it to Google) and Jonny Dimond and includes Will Chambers, Hiranya Jayathilaka, Michael Lehenbauer, Michael Latman, Parker Chun, Christiana Stubblefield, Tyler Rockwood, Mark Robinson, and Geoff Hamilton.
We believe we have the right skills and are uniquely positioned to outcompete the teams at OpenAI, Anthropic, and others to build the cloud agent OS that will power businesses in the future. We have deep experience building agent systems, cloud infrastructure & productivity tools through our work building Shortwave, Firebase and critical infrastructure at Google, Amazon, OpenAI and elsewhere.
We think AI progress will continue relentlessly and we want to surf this tidal wave. Nearly every line of code here is written with AI. We’re constantly looking for ways to give models more agency & leverage, and we reach for AI first when solving any problem. We’re especially excited about finding ways to close the loop on recursive self-improvements to get humans out of the way of building our business when possible.
We’ve raised $29.5M from Union Square Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Y Combinator, Jeff Dean, Patrick & John Collison, and others. We just closed a round on 4/1/2026 valuing the company at $175M.
Tasklet is a fast-paced, engineer-driven, results-oriented company. We aim to build a truly world-class team & an amazing work environment. These are the values we aspire to:
