Building a world-class product requires a world-class company behind it. We need a leader to make sure the machine is built and runs smoothly — our plans are clear, finances are tight, payroll happens, recruiting is humming, investors are informed, the office works, and the team has everything they need to move fast.

We're looking for a chief of staff to be the operational backbone of Tasklet. You will work directly with the CEO to oversee the entire business. This is a high-impact key role with broad, diverse responsibility and generous equity.

Compensation

• $240k → $310k salary
• 0.30% → 0.60% equity

Responsibilities

• Be the CEO's right hand — make sure we’re defining & communicating strategy and plans, lead high-priority projects that don't fit neatly into any other role, and fight fires that come up
• Own finance and budget — manage cash, track burn, file taxes, handle accounting, and make sure we're spending money wisely
• Run recruiting operations — source candidates, manage pipelines, and help close the exceptional people we need
• Manage office operations — make sure the physical (and virtual) workspace runs smoothly
• Handle people operations — onboarding, benefits administration, and building the culture systems that help a small team scale

Our ideal candidate

• You've been a founder, COO, chief of staff, or similar generalist leader at a startup and know what "do whatever it takes" actually means
• You're exceptionally organized and can juggle finance, recruiting, and operations without dropping balls
• You're a strong communicator and writer — you'll represent the company to candidates, vendors, and partners
• You're scrappy and resourceful — you'll figure things out with Google, AI tools, and sheer determination before asking for help
• You could easily be a chief of staff at a top AI lab — but you want the outsized impact of a startup, and you believe Tasklet can win
